Loads of Rangers fans have been giving their verdict on the weekend’s action, and they’re absolutely full of praise for captain James Tavernier.

The Gers moved to the top of the table on Sunday, as goals from Connor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos were enough to earn all three points at Tynecastle.

Hearts are in terrible form at the moment, but the hosts took a deserved early lead courtesy of an own goal from Gareth McAuley.

Steven Gerrard’s side were by far the better team after that though, and they got their just rewards when Goldson scrambled the ball in from close range before Morelos flicked home from Tavernier’s set piece.

The skipper set up both goals, and it looks like Gerrard’s decision to give him the armband wasn’t such a bad call after all.

The 27-year-old has been heavily criticised by fans this season, but he now has nine goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season, an incredible output for a defender.

Fans are now gathering in support of a player who was taking loads of stick earlier in the campaign, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
