Rangers have endured a tough start to the new season as they faced a gruelling qualifying campaign in the Europa League but emerged triumphant on Thursday, advancing to the group stages with a 2-1 win on aggregate.
Steven Gerrard remains unbeaten in charge of the Scottish giants and has continued his work to improve the squad deep into the summer transfer window, securing the addition of Joe Worrall on loan from Nottingham Forest on Deadline Day.
The England U21 international had fallen down the pecking order under Aitor Karanka but boasts a wealth of experience in the Championship despite his tender age and provides much-needed depth to the heart of Rangers’ defence.
Worrall faces a battle to secure regular football in Gerrard’s side and this weekend’s Old Firm derby likely comes too soon for the 21-year-old but fans are delighted with his arrival at Ibrox.
