According to TEAMtalk, Kilmarnock striker Eamonn Brophy could be Steven Gerrard's 11th signing of the summer, and the news hasn't gone down well with the Ibrox faithful.

The Scotland international has garnered the interest of Gerrard as he looks to put the finishing touches on a strong squad after a busy summer.

It's no surprise to see the 23-year-old catch the eye of the Gers, as the striker was in top form last season as he earned his first cap for Steve Clarke's national side in June.

But despite being a big part of the Killie side that finished third in the Premiership last season, the Gers fans don't want him to make the move to Ibrox any time soon.

With Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe already at the club, Brophy would likely have to be content with a support role under Gerrard, if he were to sign.

Some fans feel this role should be given to their youngster Zak Rudden however, rather than forking out for another forward.

Here's what they had to say on Twitter about the Brophy links...
