Rangers fans are delighted to see Scott Arfield back in their side and playing well after returning from the Gold Cup.

The Canada international returned to Ibrox having helped his national side to the quarter-finals of the Gold Cup. Their eventual departure from the competition came as a bit of a shock, as they went 2-0 up against Haiti but were beaten 3-2.

The early exit freed the 30-year-old to return to Steven Gerrard's side ahead of the upcoming Europa League tie with Progres Niederkorn, and he made his first start of the summer for the Gers against Blackburn, impressing in the 1-1 draw on Sunday.

The ex-Burnley player started alongside Ryan Jack and Steven Davis in Gerrard's 4-3-3, and caught the eye of the Ibrox faithful.

It was a slightly more reserved role for the attacking midfielder, considering his great form at the end of the last campaign came while playing further forward, where he formed a sensational partnership with Jermain Defoe.

Here's what the fans had to say about Arfield's first start back at the club on Twitter...
