Rangers fans react to Borna Barisic’s 45-minute Progres performance

Borna Barisic was hooked at half-time in Rangers’ 0-0 draw with Progres Niederkorn, and the fans aren’t too pleased with what they saw from the Croat.

It was a quiet evening in Luxembourg as Steven Gerrard’s men successfully defended their 2-0 lead from the first leg at Ibrox last week.

Goals from Joe Aribo and Sheyi Ojo in the home leg of the Europa League second-round qualifier ensured safe passage through to the next stage, despite a dull performance this time around.

The 2-0 aggregate victory means that the Gers will face FC Midtjylland in the penultimate qualifying round before the group stages of the competition.

Despite progressing through to the next round, the performance of the left-back irked the Rangers supporters. The 26-year-old was taken off by Gerrard at the break, and the gaffer revealed he felt he was at risk of being sent off after an early booking.

Yet, some fans were glad to see the defender replaced by Andy Halliday during the interval after a sub-par performance.
