Rangers fans react to Foderingham’s display as fine run continues

Rangers have endured a thrilling start to the new season under the guidance of Steven Gerrard, who has seen his side enjoy a fine run.

The Gers extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to nine games following Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock in the League Cup at Rugby Park.

Gerrard gave a start to Wes Foderingham in the victory, who has dropped down the pecking order behind Allan McGregor in the battle for the first-choice jersey at the club, and fans were pleased with what they witnessed.

The 27-year-old featured 33 times in the league last season for Rangers but the arrival of 36-year-old McGregor has meant the former Swindon Town stopper has had to be patient waiting for his opportunities this term.

After the victory on Sunday, Foderingham took to Twitter to express his delight at playing the full ninety minutes, congratulated Alfredo Morelos on his hat-trick and wished a speedy recovery to Jamie Murphy after he was stretchered off just 15 minutes into the game.
