Rangers staged a hard-fought comeback to overcome St Johnstone by a 2-1 scoreline on Sunday afternoon. Having gone a goal down before half-time, a second half brace from the Gers’ talismanic striker, Alfredo Morelos, won the visitors the three points.
The win keeps Steven Gerrard’s side in touch with league leaders and reigning champions Celtic. The former Liverpool player wasn’t exactly delighted with his team’s performance despite the comeback though, and after the match had some scathing words.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...
The ex-England international said of his side’s first half performance (BT Sport): “we were awful. We didn’t have one player out there that was doing the shirt any justice.” He then moved on to discussing his team’s comeback, and said, “we shouldn’t have to work that hard at places like this, with all due respect.”
Those fiery comments could easily be construed as disrespectful though, and plenty of Saints fans will almost certainly have interpreted them that way. Lots of Rangers fans on Twitter also gave their take on the manager’s words…
The guys a winner! He manages any other club and you would respect that!

Everyone talking about SGs ‘arrogance’ and entitlement are the same people who would slate us for not winning there ‘given the difference in available budgets’.

Probably the first time I’ve taken issue with a Stevie G post match interview, with all due respect.
Yes, Stevie, we should have to work that hard.
We work harder. We play harder. That is why we are Glasgow Rangers.
