Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Jon Flanagan's performance in the Europa League loss to Spartak Moscow on Thursday evening, with the left-back at fault on many occasions as Steven Gerrard's side shipped four goals.

The former Liverpool full-back, who you could argue was playing out of position on the opposite side of his favoured right-back berth, struggled considerably against the Russian giants.

Rangers took a 3-2 lead into half time in matchday four of their European campaign, only to slip behind by four goals to three just before the hour mark, conceding twice in two minutes in embarrassing fashion.

The loss sees the Glaswegian giants slip to third in Group G with just two games left to play. Whilst the whole team was culpable for the defeat, the Ibrox faithful set their sights on the summer signing as the main culprit.
