Kyle Lafferty has officially left Rangers after an underwhelming season, and the fans are delighted to see the back of him.
The Gers confirmed on Wednesday that Lafferty has ripped up his deal by mutual consent and is now free to move on. The 31-year-old was far from a success in his second spell at Ibrox.
The Northern Irishman made 30 appearances under Steven Gerrard last season but only found the net on six occasions. The striker found chances hard to come by with the duo of Jermain Defoe and Alfredo Morelos keeping him out of the starting XI.

Signed from Hearts in August, the enigmatic forward will look back on his second spell as a missed opportunity. Yet, it wasn’t all bad memories for Lafferty, who did have his moments last season.
Drafted in to lead the line against Villareal in the Europa League in September, he did admirably as a lone striker in Spain. The former Burnley man topped off a memorable night by scoring the equaliser in a respectable 2-2 draw for Gerrard’s men.
Here’s what the Gers fans had to say about his departure on Twitter:
Good. We move on…

I would say were at a point now where all our players have a sell on value. We’ve got rid of the deadwood

Didn’t rate him first time he was here and was even worse the second time. Just another fan who got to live the dream im afraid. We’ve had too many of them recently.
