Rangers fans have enjoyed a fine start to the season under the guidance of Steven Gerrard but there is still likely to be plenty of movement in the final weeks of the window.

Gerrard is looking to shuffle his deck ahead of his planned endeavours in Europe, with Rangers preparing for a crucial Europa League play-off tie against FC UFA on Thursday and having until the end of August to complete deals.

There is also likely to be outgoing pieces of business though and an update has been provided on forgotten man Myles Beerman, with The Times of Malta claiming that the 19-year-old defender is set to return to Malta to join Birkirkara on loan.

Capped three times by Malta's national side, Beerman has featured in just seven league games for Rangers since signing in 2016 and earned just three appearances during a previous loan stint with Queen of the South.

Reacting to the news, some Rangers fans questioned why the teenager was still on the club's books as another stint away from the club looks to be inevitable.
