Supporters loves to watch the next generation of young talent rise through the ranks and Rangers fans are certainly no exception to the rule.
Glenn Middleton has made quite the impact under Steven Gerrard this season, but supporters turned their attention towards a much younger prospect on Wednesday.
Indeed, Rangers’ U17 side were playing in the semi-final of the ALKASS International Cup yesterday, and one player particularly caught the eye when he fired home the second goal shortly before half-time.
That player was Nathan Young-Coombes, who moved from Chelsea to Rangers at the start of the month.

The 16-year-old ran directly at the heart of the defence with purpose and pace before squeezing a left-footed effort beyond the goalkeeper, and his superb individual effort caught the eye of supporters on Twitter.
Plenty of them were eager to lavish praise on the young teenager and tip him for a bright future in the game, and it’s easy to see why based on the evidence of his goal yesterday.
Here’s what the Rangers fans had to say in response to Young-Coombe’s strike on Wednesday:
