Rangers fans really want Bruno Alves to start against Celtic next week

Rangers are through to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup after a dominant win over Falkirk at Ibrox on Sunday.

The victory sets up a mouth watering clash against Celtic at Hampden, with whoever triumphs likely to be red hot favourites to lift the trophy in May.

Jason Cummings scored a superb hat-trick to secure the victory, delighting supporters who are increasingly hopeful of winning silverware this season given their attacking form. Graeme Murty’s side have now scored 23 goals in their last six matches, all of which they’ve won.

Plaudits too went to the Gers defence, with fans delighted to see the return of Bruno Alves after an extended period out due to injury.

The veteran stopper is still getting up to full match fitness but some fans have seen enough to be convinced that he should start in next week’s massive derby against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Is he the right man to partner either David Bates or Russell Martin?
