Rangers midfielder Niko Kranjcar was handed a rare start in his side's 1-0 Florida Cup win against Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro in America on Thursday, but Gers fans were left unimpressed with his performance.

The 33-year-old has been restricted to just 10 appearances for the Scottish Premiership outfit this season, although the Croatian has started their previous two matches in the Scottish top flight, including the goalless draw against Celtic at Celtic Park at the end of December.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth man failed to make much of an impact on the Ibrox faithful in the opening 45 minutes in Florida though, before he was replaced at the break.

Rangers supporters were quick to have their say on his display via social media, and while one said "Kranjcar shouldn't get another game for Rangers", another said "I would dearly love that 45 minutes to be the last 45 minutes of Niko Kranjcar in a Rangers top".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
