Loads of Rangers fans have been having their say on Thursday night’s win over Maribor, and they are simply stunned by how good Lassana Coulibaly was.
Steven Gerrard was extremely busy this summer, revamping the squad for a league title and European charge, but it seems the capture of Coulibaly was his shining moment.
While there is still some work to do in the fight to bring proper European football back to Ibrox, the Gers have got off to a brilliant start, thanks in no small part to the work of Coulibaly.
The all-action midfielder has been brilliant since making the loan move from Angers, and he got the goal his performances deserve on Thursday night.
Alfredo Morelos and fan favourite James Tavernier were also on the scoresheet, but it was Coulibaly’s late goal that turned a good result into a fantastic one.
The 22 year-old was absolutely everywhere, and if Gerrard can convince him to join permanently at the end of the season it will be a stroke of genius.
The Ibrox faithful definitely want him back, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
