Steven Gerrard's first managerial job is running smoothly so far as Rangers have suffered defeat just twice in 15 matches in all competitions.

The Gers headed into Sunday's encounter against Hearts on a high after coming from behind to beat Rapid Vienna in the Europa League in midweek.

Rangers were facing a tough battle against the Scottish Premiership leaders, but they managed to seal all three points in a 3-1 triumph.

Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos hit the back of the net inside the first 13 minutes, and Scott Arfield made it three just after the half-hour mark.

Gerrard's side flew through the first half, but after the break, the team struggled to maintain their form.

Hearts pulled a goal back through Jimmy Dunne, and Rangers had to hold on to claim maximum points.

On Twitter, plenty of fans praised the result, but felt a tinge of disappointment due to the second-half display.
