Rangers fans want Steven Gerrard to build his team around Ross McCrorie

Rangers’ bid to finish second in the Scottish Premiership is not entirely in their own hands after they failed to beat Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Tuesday night.

The 1-1 draw means that the Light Blues must get a result against Hibernian and hope the Dons slip up in their final match against champions Celtic on Sunday

It wasn’t the best of performances from the in-transition Rangers side, but fans did have lots of praise for one man in particular – goalscorer Ross McCrorie.

The 20-year-old produced an exceptional performance in the middle of the park to remind everyone again that his best position moving forward is likely to be in midfield rather than defence.

Supporters also believe he’s showing the leadership qualities to become the club’s captain, even at such a young age.

With Steven Gerrard about to take charge this summer, fans are pleading with the Liverpool legend to make McCrorie the side’s main man and build a team around him.
