Rangers fans want Worrall axed for Rapid Vienna clash

Loads of Rangers fans have been having their say ahead of the Europa League clash with Rapid Wien, and they’re begging Steven Gerrard not to start Joe Worrall.

Rangers did some excellent work in the transfer market this summer, not only improving the first eleven but building a squad capable of challenging on multiple fronts.

This included a complete overhaul of the defence, as Gerrard signed four brand new centre backs.

Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic have been superb so far, but the same can’t be said for Worrall, who struggled in Sunday’s defeat to Livingston.

The towering 21 year-old arrived on loan from Nottingham Forest to challenge Goldson and Katic for those starting spots, but his performances so far have been underwhelming to say the least.

While Gerrard is clearly focused on keeping his squad fresh with plenty of rotation, fans are begging to see less of Worrall, hoping the boss has learned from his mistakes against Livingston.
