Rangers fans were delighted with Ryan Jack’s performance against Hamilton

Rangers returned to winning ways on Sunday afternoon with an emphatic 5-0 win over Hamilton Academical courtesy of strikes from Ryan Jack, Jermain Defoe, Scott Arfield, James Tavernier and Kyle Lafferty.

Steven Gerrard’s dreams of winning the SPFL title are slim at best with Celtic leading the charge, but the Gers boss will be feeling optimistic for the future after watching his side dismantle Hamilton.

There were plenty of standout performances for the supporters to gush over in the aftermath of proceedings, but one player particularly caught the eye.

That man was Jack, who opened the scoring after 16 minutes, extending his recent run of goal-scoring form in the process.

The 26-year-old midfielder’s goal gave him the confidence to dominate the match from the centre of midfield, and the fans on Twitter duly paid tribute to a glowing performance.

Indeed, plenty of fans identified Jack, valued at £765k per Transfermarkt, as their man of the match, citing his ability to dictate the tempo as one of his standout characteristics.

His popularity amongst the Gers faithful culminated when he bagged the winner against Celtic at the end of 2018, and it seems his latest performance has helped him to cement his reputation in Glasgow.
