Loads of Rangers fans have been giving their verdict on Sunday’s 7-1 win, and they’re full of praise for debutant Serge Atakayi.
Rangers absolutely crushed Motherwell on Sunday in what was the perfect pre-international break performance.
The Gers have had a disappointing run of results, losing in dramatic fashion in Moscow just a couple of weeks after losing the League Cup semi-final.
Steven Gerrard’s side took their frustrations out on a hapless Motherwell side, as Scott Arfield opened the scoring after just eight minutes.
James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos made it 3-0 before half-time, and the game was practically over already as Carl McHugh received a second yellow card for a handball.
New signing Eros Grezda is taking plenty of plaudits for his late double, but fans are also wishing the best for 19 year-old Atakayi.
The teenage attacker, who joined in 2016 from Finnish club FF Jaro, replaced Glenn Middleton for his debut, but was then forced off through injury after a rather ridiculous Motherwell tackle.
The youngster appeared to land awkwardly after getting caught by a late challenge, and a serious injury for a player who is right on the cusp of first team football could be devastating.
You can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below, where fans are praying this isn’t a lengthy setback for the debutant…

Was buzzing for Atakayi getting on. Defo has confidence and hope his injury is not long term. Looked like a sore landing

The challenge on Atakayi was woeful, poor lad was given a chance and robbed of it by one of their thugs.

Middleton, Kelly and now Atakayi all making competitive debuts under Gerrard this season with Middleton and Robby McCrorie joining Ross as full first team players.
Bradley, Wilson and Rudden all playing pre season games during summer also. Great seeing youth getting chance.

Fantastic performance, delighted for Grezda and Middleton. Shame that Atakayi had to come off. Plenty of positives to take for after the international break
