Jurgen Klopp has refused to rule out loaning out young striker Dominic Solanke, opening the door for a move to Rangers, as per The Evening Standard.

What's the story?

The 20-year-old England international is hotly-tipped as a star of the future and scored his first Liverpool goal on the final day of last season against Brighton.

Rangers were linked with the young forward earlier in the summer but their interest appeared to have cooled down.

Now Jurgen Klopp has opened the door for a move by refusing to rule out loaning Solanke out when pushed in a press conference.

Solanke is going to find it very hard to force his way into the Liverpool team this season with even more firepower in the squad and Daniel Sturridge now looking like the backup option.

There's very little risk involved in making a loan move for Solanke and Gerrard would know how to bring the best out of him after working with the young talent back at Anfield.

Gerrard has bolstered his attack already this summer but there's no harm in bringing in Solanke, who will be desperate to prove himself in order to get back in Klopp's plans, with the 20-year-old having the quality and potential to make an even bigger impact than Alfredo Morelos at Ibrox.
