Rangers supporters were left thrilled by the performance of Steven Gerrard’s side on Sunday after they thrashed Motherwell 7-1 in Scottish Premiership action at Ibrox.
The win puts pressure on Hearts and Celtic above the Gers in the table after both teams dropped points prior to kick-off in Govan. Rangers are now just two points behind both teams and have a game in hand over the Jam Tarts.
One of the top performers on the day was Eros Grezda, who finally started to show his potential in a Rangers shirt with a second half double that delighted fans.
Grezda has had a fairly slow start to his career at Ibrox, taking time to build up fitness after a lengthy injury, but it looks like he’s finally capable of nailing down a starting position in Gerrard’s first-team.
Previously criticised for poor performances, fans will quickly warm to him if he produces more displays like Sunday’s.
Fans took to Twitter to share their delight with his progress after the 7-1 victory…
I didn’t write grezda off just hadn’t seen much to get me excited
Today’s totally changed my opinion hopefully gets a run of games now— Jamie Paterson (@JP_RFC) November 11, 2018
Grezda ruining Motherwell ankles with his step overs & shoulder drops at his 1st goal. Great 2nd half from him. Scored 2 & helped create 2. McHugh booked for persistent fouling after 30 mins tells you everything you need to know about Motherwell’s approach to the game

Grezda was unreal that 2nd half and he's still no 100% I think we've a player on our hands

Well deserved MOTM award for Eros Grezda today.
Great to see Gareth McAuley getting second half – and looking commanding in the role.
Unlucky for Serge – hope injury isn’t too bad and you get another chance soon.— Jim W (@jim_nlrsc) November 11, 2018
Good day at the office, witnessing grezda grabbing a brace was the best part for me hopefully a sign of things to come from the wee man

Great to see the whole team really around grezda when he scored his first goal today. They must know he's probably been under pressure to perform. Hope his confidence is boosted and he consistently puts the performances in 👍

Very good performance to bag a vital 3 points today. Good to see Grezda growing into the game and grabbing a couple of goals, MOTM for me. 🔴⚪️🔵 #WATP

Grezda hasn't had a pre-season, different country and style of play. More mins he plays the better he will get (hopefully) he was strolling about after his goal fill of confidence and really looked a player
