According to our recent poll, the majority of Rangers fans want Steven Gerrard to make a January loan move for Wolves youngster Morgan Gibbs-White.

The Daily Express recently reported that although Rangers announced losses of £14m recently, there will be funds available for transfer fees or loan wages so that Gerrard can add to his squad in the winter transfer window, and a midfielder is a target.

Gibbs-White would surely be the perfect centre-mid to take Rangers to that next level.  The 18-year-old Wolves ace, who could develop his game under the guidance of Gerrard, has made six substitute appearances in the Premier League so far, and has impressed especially against both Tottenham and Arsenal.

However, the West Midlands side are out of the Carabao Cup and opportunities for starts could become rarer for the youngster, meaning a loan move to Scotland could be his best bet in January if he is to truly kickstart his career this season.

The teenager has certainly shown already that he can be an upgrade on Scott Arfield, who has largely flattered to deceive since making the move to Ibrox.

Check out the full results of our poll below, where 67 per cent of Rangers fans said that they would support a move if possible.
