Despite Rangers getting back to winning ways against Livingston, there has been some unrest among those at the club due to the level of performance on show.
They scraped through by the skin of their teeth to win the game 1-0, with Lyndon Dykes’ shot hitting the post in the 82nd minute putting it into context how close they were to falling further behind Celtic.
However, if there is one man who will escape the criticism, it will undoubtedly be Scott Arfield.

The Canada international was the man who scored Rangers’ only goal of the game, when he received the ball from Ianis Hagi and struck it through Livingston goalkeeper Ryan Schofield’s legs.
This saw him lauded by fans, with one telling him “I salute you”, while another asked him to “keep it going”.
That this is the moment that separated the two teams already means that he was bound to be a popular figure among Gers fans.

However, this is far from a one-off for the 31-year-old, as he is in brilliant form when breaking into the final third.
During his last five SPFL games, Arfield has managed to score three goals and assist one – to put this impressive number into context, Rangers have only scored six goals as a team during that time.
This has got him plenty of praise from fans, as one said the “boy’s on form”, while another exclaimed that “he’s done it again”.
