Saturday's Scottish Cup tie at Kilmarnock is the biggest test of Steven Gerrard's first season at Rangers.

With six points to make up in the title race, Gerrard will be desperate to progress in the Scottish Cup and deliver a trophy to the Ibrox faithful at the end of his first season.

Just weeks after travelling down to Ayrshire and watching his side lose 2-1 in the SPFL, the Gers gaffer must now come up with a plan to beat Steve Clarke's team and stay in the Scottish Cup.

Whether or not to play Jermain Defoe or Steven Davis is being hotly debated following the arrival of the  marquee January signings.

Both players started against Killie in the league defeat but were left out of the first XI when Gers won with an impressive display at Pittodrie midweek.

With no room for error, though, Gerrard must decide whether Davis or Defoe will start or to stick with the team that has now beaten Celtic and Aberdeen in the league.
