The footballing community was in awe on Tuesday evening as Mesut Ozil netted a stunning winner for Arsenal against Ludogorets Razgrad – but Rangers have pulled a strike from the archives that they claim is better.
Ozil’s late goal sealed Arsenal’s spot in the knock-out stages of the Champions League and finished the Gunners’ fightback after they fell 2-0 behind, with Arsene Wenger’s side emerging 3-2 victors.
Away from the European antics, though, Rangers have had their say on the effort and, whilst they believe it was good, they claim Davie Cooper’s was better.
If you ask us, @MesutOzil1088's was good.

With Arsenal fans famously outspoken and active on social media, the Scottish giants could find themselves on the end of a backlash but, to be fair, Cooper’s effort was a classic and is difficult to beat.
Rather than looking down memory lane, though, Rangers would be well-advised to focus on their task at hand domestically as they sit nine points behind league leaders Celtic.
Rangers have won three of their last six in the Scottish Premiership and will be looking for maximum points in November, when they face Ross County, Dundee, Partick Thistle and Hearts.
