Rangers fans on Twitter have been busy laying into Alfredo Morelos, after the striker’s straight red card midway through the first half ultimately cost them in the Old Firm Derby.
The Colombian forward was given his marching orders for an elbow on Celtic skipper Scott Brown, who was seen smiling as Morelos trudged off the field.

Morelos is making a habit of picking up red cards, and is becoming a recurring liability for Steven Gerrard despite the huge amount of goals that he brings to the side – he has now picked up nine yellow cards and three red cards in the league this season.
The 22-year-old has, however, found the back of the net 27 times in the current campaign, although his awful discipline is making it hard to justify his inclusion in the team despite his excellent scoring rate.
Let’s see what the understandably frustrated Rangers supporters on Twitter have been saying about the hotheaded goalscorer…
He can go in the summer if anyone wants To buy a liability. Thanks for the goals Alfredo but we can’t afford to have a player who can be played like a fiddle by the opposition and is a red card concern every time. Passion is vital on the pitch but so is control.

No player bigger than the team. Stop treating him like he’s a Rangers legend. Sell him. There are 100 strikers who could score 20 in the SPL.

This guy lets the team and the fans down time and time again. There is no defending him anymore. He has to go

It’s happened too many times. Yes, Morelos can score goals but the amount of red cards he receives means he’s a liability.

Lets us down time after time on the big stage, gotta get rid of him in the summer and bring another goalscorer in

Last game for Rangers no player is bigger than the club sell him in summer

Against Celtic he either misses sitters or gets booked. The guy should never be selected for matches against Celtic. He’s a flat-track bully. Save him for matches against Hamilton and Livingston.
