Kaka open to MLS move

AC Milan midfielder has talked about moving to play in America in the near future, reports the MLS official website.

The 31-year-old has been linked with Orlando City SC, a team set to enter the MLS in 2015. And the current AC Milan star has done nothing to dismiss the speculation over his future: “One day, I would like to play in America,” Kaká said.

“Let’s see. At the end of the season, I will talk to [general manager Adriano Galliani]. Not just to speak about bonuses and money — money is not the main thing for me now, and I think that is understood. I want to see what his ideas are and what the club’s ideas are. If it turns out I need to move, I will choose the MLS.”

The former Ballon d’OR winner is certainly a target for Orlando City, who are owned by fellow Brazilian and friend Flávio Augusto da Silva: “I believe that every team would like to have Kaká in their team, of course, Orlando City as well,” da Silva told in November.

“But I cannot say Kaká because Kaká now is playing very well in Milan. Kaká is a great friend of mine. We already work together with my company in Brazil. But why not? The only thing I can say right now is that we’re going to bring someone very, very special.”

Kaka rejoined Milan this season, but the club are struggling in Serie A, and are currently 11th in the Italian league table.
