Everton ready to swoop for Serie A assassin if £65m transfer deal goes ahead

According to reports from Tutto Mercato Web, Everton are lining up Khouma Babacar as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgium international, who is leading the line for his country at Euro 2016, bagged 18 goals in the Premier League last season and that has inevitably attracted interest from some of the division’s top clubs.

Indeed, former club Chelsea have been linked with the 23-year-old, who is reportedly valued at a whopping £65million, as well as Manchester United.

And according to TMW, the 6 foot 3 striker’s departure could see the Toffees swoop for Fiorentina front man Khouma Babacar as Lukaku’s direct replacement.

The 23-year-old bagged five goals in eleven Serie A starts last season and is seen as a particularly good fit for the Premier League through his speed, height and power.

Crystal Palace have reportedly been monitoring the Senegal international since the January transfer window, whilst he’s also been linked with a move to West Ham in the past.
