Fiorentina’s superstar striker Stevan Jovetic has announced his desire to play in the Premier League in the near future.
Jovetic has scored 12 goals in 23 league games for Fiorentina this season, guiding them to 4th place in the Serie A table.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Jovetic said: “It sure is nice when you are interesting big clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City. It feels good because the English game has probably the strongest league in the world.
Jovetic then added: “I’m very comfortable in Italy but the Premier League is at the top of the football world. We will see what happens in the future.”
Both Wenger and Mancini will be monitoring Jovetic’s situation with Fiorentina over the next few months, and will be eager to sign the Montenegro international.
But the striker may decide to stay in Italy, with Serie A champions Juventus also in the chase for his signature, who reportedly has a £25million buy-out clause in his current contract with Fiorentina.
Jovetic is expected to show off his talents against England on Tuesday night, when Montenegro face the Three Lions in Podgorica in their World Cup Qualifier.
