Juventus are definitely a force to be reckoned with back in Italy.

Winning Serie A titles for fun is nothing short of impressive and the Bianconeri have truly mastered that art. But despite all of that domestic success down the years, the Old Lady has been lacking in Europe.

The coveted Champions League crown hasn't arrived in Turin in a long, long time and Juventus' recent change in their transfer policy might indicate they are set on winning it more than ever.

Of course, it all started with the scoops of Cristiano Ronaldo and the return of Gianluigi Buffon and now it's even more emphasised by their reported interest in three Chelsea players: Willian, Pedro Rodriguez and Emerson Palmieri.

According to Tuttosport's recent update, the Bianconeri like all three players but are also aware of the possible problems that might occur along the way.

But looking at their recent transfer targets, including Willian and Pedro, it very much looks like Juventus are only planning for the short-term.

After all, some of their biggest stars, as the aforementioned Bianconeri duo, are way past their 30s and the players they are looking to bring in are much the same.

And yes, the likes of Luca Pellegrini and Merih Demiral, their recent purchases, are young but hardly ever feature, with the former not even at the club at the moment and the latter frozen out of the squad with just 90 minutes under his belt.

Quite clearly, Juventus are intent on bringing in well-developed and experienced stars, preferably for cheap or entirely for free, and slotting them right into their squad for immediate improvements.

Seeing how they don't really struggle with winning Serie A, this could be an indication that they are going all-in for the Champions League in the near future with all those veterans either already in the squad or simply on their radar.

The Chelsea duo, along with Emerson, could definitely give them a small boost in achieving that goal but would not be a long-term solution by any means.

Willian is 31 and Pedro is 32.

Getting them, should they choose to leave, should therefore not be a costly or a difficult task for the Bianconeri.

But it's also something purely oriented on the right here and right now.

Let's see if it works out in the end.
