Tottenham Hotspur's transfer plans have been revealed heading into the final six weeks of the summer transfer window and Lilywhites supporters have reason to be excited...

What's the word?

According to the ever-reliable Alasdair Gold of football.london, Spurs are not finished with their business just yet as they target a seventh signing, which is likely to be in the form of an attacking midfielder or striker.

"Spurs are continuing to look at potential attacking midfielders and strikers if the right deal emerges in the remaining six weeks of the window," he explained in a recent column.

It's also thought that manager Antonio Conte is happy with the progress on and off the pitch and there is positivity around the club this summer.

Exciting plan revealed

This update should, therefore, leave much of the Tottenham faithful absolutely buzzing and also very excited as it appears that sporting director Fabio Paratici is going to remain active in the transfer market.

The north Londoners have been linked to several names, particularly in the no.10 role, with Leicester City star James Maddison and AS Roma playmaker Nicolo Zaniolo reported to be among the targets.

Meanwhile, RB Salzburg sensation Benjamin Sesko and FC Barcelona's 2021/22 top goalscorer Memphis Depay have been mentioned in the striking department.

Any of these mooted players would add serious depth to Conte's already improving squad and all would be able to play their part during the new campaign, thanks to Tottenham's qualification to the Champions League.

A rung of midweek matches heading into the World Cup this winter will force Conte's hand as he'll need to rotate regularly to remain fresh and competitive heading into the second half of the Premier League season.

Adding a player like Maddison or Depay would mean that the quality on the pitch wouldn't suffer as much when doing so because Spurs are instantly weaker without Harry Kane or Heung-min Son, but further signings would alleviate the problem somewhat.

As such, supporters around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium should be delighted by this latest update from Gold, who is one of the most reliable when it comes to anything Spurs.
