West Ham return to cup action on Wednesday night as they host Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup third round.

David Moyes is a man under pressure at the Hammers after some disappointing recent results in the Premier League, including the last-gasp defeat against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The Scottish manager will be hoping to progress in the cup but will be wary of his side's already congested fixture list.

Therefore, he could make plenty of changes as they welcome the Championship promotion hopefuls.

Here is how Football FanCast expects West Ham to line up on Wednesday night, with ten changes from the side that started against Palace on Sunday.

Alphonse Areola seems likely to start in goal after playing in all of the Hammers' cup games so far this season, so he replaces Lukasz Fabianski in between the sticks.

It's all change in defence, as the "giant" Harrison Ashby - as dubbed by journalist Sam Delaney - and Emerson Palmieri come in at right-back and left-back respectively, while Angelo Ogbonna and Nayef Aguerd resume their partnership in defence, with Craig Dawson, Kurt Zouma, Thilo Kehrer and Aaron Cresswell all rested.

Declan Rice is the driving force in this West Ham side so he seems likely to keep his place in midfield, although his "unbelievable" midfield partner Tomas Soucek drops out, with Flynn Downes replacing him.

After another disappointing display going forwards, Moyes could make a number of changes in the attacking positions, with Pablo Fornals returning to the side after his recent double against FCSB, while Divin Mubama also deserves a start after his performance in that game.

Indeed, the young "pearl" - in the words of Manu Heredia - has a whopping 28 goals for the club's academy sides and looks poised to be a big threat in the coming years.

Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Said Benrahma are all rested but could be introduced from the bench if the Hammers are struggling against the Ewood Park outfit.

Manuel Lanzini can occupy the attacking-midfield position and he supports Michail Antonio through the middle, in the hope that the Jamaican can improve on his disappointing form so far this season, which has returned just four goals in all competitions.
