Mario Balotelli refuses to stay away from the attention of Premier League supporters, long after he left England for good. Now with Nice of course, the enigmatic Italian has been back in the headlines after he took to Twitter to reply to comments made about him from former manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Celtic boss, who infamously signed him at Liverpool as a replacement for Luis Suarez, recently joked the Azzurri star was the best player he’d ever worked with, in reference to Balotelli’s season-long nightmare while at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers you are also the best manager I ever had????????????. Amazing.

After lasting just a year on Merseyside, the former Manchester City and Inter Milan marksman returned on loan to the San Siro, though this time with AC Milan – the club he left for the Reds in the first place.
Since joining Nice in Ligue 1, he’s notched 14 goals in just 18 starts for the French side, though remains rather active on social media.
Clearly, considering who he is, his tweet was likely to spark a reaction online. With that in mind, here’s how Twitter reacted to Balotelli’s comeback.
