Dog interrupts Frank Lampard’s workout routine

Frank Lampard has been mulling over his options after leaving MLS side New York City FC in November, and he has been trying to keep fit in the meantime.

The former Chelsea midfielder has not ruled out playing again, despite being 38 years of age.

Perhaps that is why he has been hitting the gym lately, but on this particular occasion he was not allowed to do sit-ups in peace.

In a video posted to Lampard’s Instagram account, the ex-England international was seen doing stomach crunches with a medicine ball.

During his routine, a small dog (presumably his own) seemed intrigued by what was going on and toddled over to check it out.

Lampard tried to ignore the pooch, but eventually didn’t have a choice when the pet dog climbed over his face.

Gyms and dogs don't mix ????????

Lampard made 648 appearances during a 13-year career at Chelsea before he left the West London outfit in 2014.

The midfielder agreed a switch to MLS, but spent a season on loan at New York City’s parent club Manchester City before travelling to the United States in 2015.
