The 20-year-old Nigerian was reportedly wanted by numerous clubs, including Arsenal and West Ham United.

However, the Daily Mail recently claimed that Everton won the race after agreeing to send Onyekuru on loan to Anderlecht for a season.

The youngster caught that eye last season by scoring 22 goals in 38 games for KAS Eupen, and ended the campaign as the Belgian Super League's joint top scorer.

The publication claims that Onyekuru underwent a medical and agreed personal terms on Monday.

It seems as though everything has been pretty much finalised as the young striker took to social media to pose in the colours of his new club.

Everton have had a strong start to the transfer window, spending more than £50m on goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and midfielder Davy Klaassen.
