Bayer Leverkusen ace Hakan Calhanoglu has remained adamant that he did not confirm he will be joining Chelsea at the end of the season, following the emergence of quotes attributed to the Turkish international.
Calhanoglu is facing a difficult few months after a four-month ban was issued to the 22-year-old by FIFA, relating to transfer offences from before the midfielder played for the Bundesliga side, and was said to have spoken to Turkish outlet Fanatik– where he stated he’ll be a Chelsea player next season.
However, Calhanoglu took to social media to rubbish those claims and made it clear he has not spoken to Turkish press about the ban issued to him or his future.
I said nothing about Chelsea in the press & didn't talk to any Turkish journalist – neither about the court decision nor about my future!

Deadly from set-pieces, Calhanoglu has attracted a wealth of interest over the past few years but his four-month ban may put a summer transfer off the cards, as he won’t be able to display his talents until the start of next season.
