Newcastle United are leading the way at the top of the Championship with a three-point advantage.
They are also topping the attacking tables having scored the most goals (69) in the division so far, with Dwight Gayle top-scoring with 21 so far.
The statistics are not that surprising given where Rafael Benitez’s team are positioned in the standings, but one aspect of their game has been completely matched by a team vying for the playoffs.
Most shots outside of box:
– Newcastle (226)
– Fulham (226)
– Huddersfield (225)
– Norwich (218)
– Bristol City (216)

As the tweet from Championship Stats show, the Cottagers have created just as many shots from outside the box than Newcastle.
Both have mustered 226 this season – the most out of any other team in the division – but there is a stark contrast to where the clubs are in the table.
As mentioned, the Magpies sit at the top, while Fulham are in seventh position, a whopping 20 points adrift of the leaders.
The London outfit are fighting for a chance to return to the Premier League via the playoffs, but they have to close down a five-point gap in order to contest.
