It’s not been a great 2017 so far for Liverpool and Arsenal, with the Reds exiting all cup competitions and slipping up in the Premier League with some shock defeats, whilst the Gunners are out of the title race and are braced for another imminent Champions League exit.
That leaves everything to play for this weekend, as the two giants of English football clash at Anfield, and Liverpool will be especially keen to get back to winning ways- as they’re remarkably won just two of their 12 fixtures across all competitions this calendar year.
However, it seems the odds are stacked against them as referee Robert Madley seems to be a bad omen for the Reds- as Liverpool have won just 17% of their matches with the official in charge since 2009/10. Arsenal, meanwhile, have won 75% of their games with Madley at the helms.

Elsewhere, the situation looks bleak for West Ham and Sunderland with Martin Atkinson and Andre Marriner officiating their games respectively- whilst Southampton and Manchester United are looking good with their win ratios.
