Earlier this week, Spanish forward Joselu gave an interview to Newcastle United's official television channel paying tribute to the club's fans for their support since he joined the Magpies from Stoke City last month.

The 27-year-old, who is valued at £3.1m by transfermarkt.co.uk, signed a three-year contract with Newcastle on August 16 after spending last season on loan with Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna.

It would be fair to say that the signing did not initially excite the Newcastle supporters, but many have been impressed with Joselu's early-season form.

Indeed, the former Spain Under-21 international has already scored for Newcastle in the Premier League this season, and the striker is expected to lead their line when his former club Stoke visit St James' Park on Saturday afternoon.

Ensuring that the Newcastle supporters are onside is not exactly a bad tactic, and it does appear that the centre-forward has impressed the club's fanbase with his attitude and application since switching from the Potters in the recent transfer window.
