Having been suspended for Manchester United's Group A opener against Basel earlier this month, Eric Bailly only made his Champions League debut on Wednesday night.

The Ivorian was key in Man United's Europa League success last season, and had his first taste of Champions League football on Wednesday as the Red Devils recorded a 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow to move onto six points in Group A.

Bailly, who is valued at £30m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has quickly become one of the most popular Man United players with the club's supporters, with his all-action style winning a host of admirers.

The whole team would have been disappointed to concede late on to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, but it was another strong defensive performance from Jose Mourinho's side, who have only conceded twice in the Premier League this season.

Bailly was one of a number of Man United players that took to Twitter in the aftermath of the match in Moscow, and as expected, the centre-back was widely praised by the club's adoring fans.
