£54m-rated attacker praised by Man United supporters

Manchester United’s 100% start to the 2017-18 Premier League campaign ended on Saturday afternoon as the Red Devils were held to a 2-2 draw at Stoke City.

Jose Mourinho’s side came from behind to lead 2-1 in the second period, but the points were ultimately shared at the Britannia Stadium.

It was a mixed afternoon for Romelu Lukaku, with the Belgian finding the back of the net in the second half, but also missing a guilt-edged opportunity to win the game late on.

Lukaku’s strike at Stoke was his fourth in the Premier League for Man United, and his 150th goal in club football, which is some record for a player that is just 24.

There were some Man United supporters that criticised the Belgian international for missing that golden chance from an Anthony Martial cross, but the majority were quick to praise a player that has hit the ground running at Old Trafford.

Lukaku, who is rated at £54m by transfermarkt.co.uk, will get his first taste of Champions League football on Tuesday night when Man United welcome Basel to Manchester.
