Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham went from hero to zero during England's semi-final against Germany in the Under-21 European Championships on Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old scored in the second half to nudge the Three Lions ahead 2-1, but Felix Platte netted in the 70th minute to push the tie into extra time.

Neither side could find the back of the net in the 30 minutes, and once again England were on the losing side in a penalty shootout against the Germans.

Abraham failed to convert from the spot, and the hammer blow came when Nathan Redmond had his penalty saved.

Abraham, whose future has been in the headlines of late, took a lot of criticism from football fans on Twitter, with some questioning his ability.

The Chelsea youngster is expected to leave the West London outfit once again this summer after spending last season on loan at Bristol City.

Newcastle United were thought to be interested in taking him on a temporary deal, but according to the Daily Mail, the teen will sign for Swansea City.
