Almost everyone is aware that Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will both be out of contract at Arsenal next summer as the pair continue to be linked with departures, but it is less common knowledge that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will also see his current deal with the Gunners expire in June 2018.

It does seem incredible that a club of Arsenal's size and stature have reached this position with a number of key first-team players, but that is a situation that the Gunners must now address.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has not exactly had a stellar 2016-17 campaign at Arsenal, but the 23-year-old has impressed in a right wing-back position over the last couple of weeks.

Indeed, the England international is currently keeping Hector Bellerin out of Arsenal's first XI, and it does appear that the former Southampton youngster could be on the verge of turning his career around after thus far struggling to fully adapt to life at the Emirates Stadium.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's performances in recent weeks appear to have made him a popular figure with the Arsenal supporters once again, and the fans have demanded that the Englishman is not sold in this summer's transfer window amid reported interest from Liverpool.
