Arsenal fans not impressed with “naive” Hector Bellerin comments

It’s fair to say that 2016/17 may have been the toughest season of Hector Bellerin’s short career so far.

After being widely considered one of the best full-backs in the league 12 months ago, a number of inconsistent performances have led to a portion of Arsenal fans condemning the Spaniard’s talent.

This condemnation peaked in early April, when Bellerin was the subject of abuse from his own fans, in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

And it seems that the 22-year-old is not quite ready to make up with Arsenal fans, if his latest comments are anything to go by.

Speaking whilst on international duty with Spain on Monday, Bellerin expressed his delight at interest from his boyhood club Barcelona, stating;

“It’s great to know about the interest of Barca, the club where I grew up. I’m an Arsenal player and we’ll see what happens.

“I know a lot of things are being talked about but as a player, the club haven’t told me anything. A lot can happen this summer.”

In light of the comments, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the situation…
