Arsenal made an impressive start to their Emirates Cup campaign by beating Benfica 5-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, and Gunners fans were particularly impressed with the performance of new boy Sead Kolasinac.

Despite falling behind to an early Franco Cervi goal, Arsene Wenger’s side quickly hit back and the Bosnia international played an integral part in both of Theo Walcott’s goals that gave the hosts the lead.

Firstly, the left-sided defender made his way into the penalty area before clipping the ball to Walcott for an easy finish, before he played a one-two with Francis Coquelin who set up the 28-year-old to score his second.

Second-half goals from Olivier Giroud, Alex Iwobi and an own goal from Lisandro Lopez saw the Gunners seal a routine victory.

Arsenal supporters were quick to have their say on Kolasinac’s performance via social media, and while were describing him as a “monster” and a “beast”, others were just pleased that he looks to be better than Andre Santos.
