Arsenal fans react to Alexandre Lacazette’s Twitter message

New Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette posted a message on his official Twitter account on Thursday saying #WeAreTheArsenal after joining the club on Wednesday, and it quickly caught the imagination of the fans.

The 26-year-old sealed his £46.5m move to the Emirates following another prolific season for Lyon, and he will look to help the club return to the Champions League next term following a disappointing fifth-place finish last time out.

Arsene Wenger’s men will be looking to secure a top four spot in the Premier League – as well as progressing in the Europa League – and Lacazette could be the first arrival of many this summer in order to help them achieve that goal.

Arsenal supporters were quick to have their say on the tweet via social media, and while some praised the striker and said that it had brought a tear to their eye, others were demanding some big numbers from the 26-year-old next season.
