Is there anything more frustrating as a football fan than seeing your arch rivals succeed where your club has failed?
In Arsenal’s case, they were hit with a double blow on Wednesday night when watching Tottenham play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and coming out victorious.
Not only did Gunners fans have to watch their fierce rivals participate in a competition that their own club failed to qualify for, they also had to watch a former target perform sensationally on his debut for Spurs.
Reports in the summer claimed that Arsenal were one of a number of Premier League clubs tracking Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier. However, with just a matter of hours to go before the transfer window closed and with no sign of a new defender arriving at the Emirates, Aurier joined Tottenham.
Following the former PSG full-backs fantastic debut performance last night, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to express their anger at their club for not doing more to sign Aurier…
Fuming Spurs have Aurier and we've got that flannel Bellerin.
