Arsenal fans take to Twitter to urge Wenger to start Jack Wilshere on Thursday

It’s safe to say that there has been no more unfortunate footballer in modern times than Jack Wilshere. With an injury record as bad as Abou Diaby’s, the former England international was forced to leave his boyhood club, Arsenal last summer, in search of first team football.

Despite signing for Bournemouth on-loan, Wilshere failed to live up to expectation and was yet again forced into a spell on the sidelines because of injury.

However, after yet another summer spent recovering, Wilshere is back with Arsenal and seemingly ready to fight for his place in the team and possibly a return to the international fold.

A firm favourite among the Gunners fans for his loyalty and passion for the club, many see Thursday’s Europa League tie with Koln as the perfect game for Wilshere to make his Emirates return and took to twitter to urge Arsene Wenger to give the 25-year-old a start…
