According to reports in the Sunday Mirror, Arsenal winger Theo Walcott is a £25m summer target for Premier League rivals West Ham United.

The report says that despite ending last season with 19 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions from the right wing, the 28-year-old was frustrated at starting the Gunners’ last seven matches of the season on the bench when Arsene Wenger introduced the new 3-4-2-1 system.

Having already lost his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad, Walcott knows he needs to be a regular starter next term if he is to have any chance of going to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and a move away from the Emirates might be his best opportunity at achieving that.

Arsenal supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and the majority would be happy to see the attacker leave this summer as they believe that his time with the club should now be coming to an end.
