Finally there was some good news for Arsenal on Friday when head coach Arsene Wenger revealed that Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny could be available for Monday's Premier League clash at Middlesbrough.

Cech and Koscielny have not exactly escaped criticism from the Arsenal supporters in recent months, although the Gunners are in need of all the experience they can get as they look to overcome what has been a rotten 2017 for the London outfit.

During Friday's pre-match press conference, Wenger confirmed that Cech is expected to return to the squad for the Boro fixture, while Koscielny would take part in training with a view to playing some part against the Premier League strugglers.

It was news that should have boosted the Arsenal supporters ahead of the fixture at the Riverside Stadium, although the tweet on the club's official account was not welcomed.

Indeed, instead of responding with delight at the return of two of their best players, the Arsenal fans saw another chance to blast their manager, who will be out of contract at the end of the 2016-17 campaign, and who is seemingly being hounded out of the club.
